Tips for a Fun Fall Hunt

  • Clip the page to a clipboard and bring a crayon so kids can check things off as they go.
  • Bring a small bag to collect leaves, acorns and pine cones for a fall craft afterwards.
  • Turn it into a race: first to find 10 things picks the after-hunt snack.
  • Do the Neighborhood Hunt on a family walk with the dog. Ours love it!

How do you set up the fall scavenger hunt?

Print one hunt sheet per child (or per team) and pick the hunt that fits where you are: the backyard, a park walk or inside the house. Kids check off or color each item as they find it.

For little ones, team them up with an older child or a grown-up. Add a small treat for everyone who finishes, and the hunt becomes the highlight of the afternoon!

How to Make Your Printables Last Year After Year

Want to use these hunt sheets again and again? Print them on sturdy cardstock and run them through a laminator, or slip each page into a clear sheet protector. Then use dry-erase markers and simply wipe them clean when you are done. Store them in a folder or binder and they will be ready to go next time!
