Tips for Sudoku Success

  • Start with the row, column or box that has the most numbers filled in.
  • Use a pencil with an eraser, or write small guesses in the corner of a box.
  • Work on one puzzle a day with your morning coffee.
  • Do a puzzle together: it is a lovely shared activity for grandparents and grandkids.

How do you play sudoku?

The goal is to fill every empty box so that each row, each column and each of the nine 3×3 boxes contains the numbers 1 through 9 exactly once. There is no math involved, just logic!

Look for a row, column or box that is almost full and work out which number is missing. Each number you fill in gives you clues for the next one.

How to Make Your Printables Last
