This free printable Thanksgiving word search comes in three levels, Easy, Medium and Hard, so everyone at the table gets a puzzle that fits. I made the easy one with big letters for the little ones, and honestly? The hard one stumped me for a good ten minutes. Print a stack before the turkey goes in, hand them out, and enjoy a quiet kitchen for a while.
What’s Included
- Easy level with big letters and fewer words for little ones
- Medium level for school-age kids
- Hard level with words hidden in every direction (grown-ups welcome!)
- Answer keys for quick checking
- US Letter size, prints beautifully in color or black and white

Tips for Thanksgiving Fun
- Hand out the puzzles while the turkey is in the oven for a calm, quiet kitchen.
- Make it a race! The first one to find all the words gets first pick of pie.
- Pair a little one with an older cousin on the Easy puzzle.
- Print extras so every guest at the kids’ table gets one.
How do you use the Thanksgiving word search?
Choose the level that fits each player: Easy has big letters and fewer words, Medium adds more words, and Hard hides words forwards, backwards and diagonally. Players circle or color each word as they find it in the grid.
Use them at the kids’ table, in the classroom before Thanksgiving break, or as a fun warm-up before dinner. Answer keys are included so checking is quick.
How to Make Your Printables Last Year After Year
Want to use these puzzles again and again? Print them on sturdy cardstock and run them through a laminator, or slip each page into a clear sheet protector. Then use dry-erase markers and simply wipe them clean when you are done. Store them in a folder and they will be ready for next Thanksgiving!
